It started with a sprinkle, then went slowly but steadily into a down pour. Luckily we got our play time in. The rest of the day was spent indoors. Koda played enough to tire out (for the moment) right next to the dirty, muddy communal doggy water fountain.
Koda takes a moment away from chewing on “something” from the backyard she brought inside. It ended up chewed to pieces. Funny, but there are no trees in the backyard with this type of branch, leaf, or bean sprout lookalike. It is fuzzy too! Where did she get this? Hmm, I don’t know.
Mission accomplished! Now let’s see if I can get a little belly rub before I get in my next nap.
We’re loving the opportunity to take late afternoon walks this time of year. The neighborhood kids are still in school. It’s hot for only a few hours a day, and the evenings are crisp and cool. Daylight savings time is just around the corner…
The longer shadows remind me to reset the older clocks in the house: “Spring Forward, Fall Back.” Time to get out the light sweaters and jackets. But right now, it’s time for some off leash fun and exploring.
